Language Arts
We continue our pirate ways in Reader’s
Workshop. This week we are looking
at ‘making connections’ in reading and will be connecting our lives to our
class novel as well as making similar connections with our DEAR books. The students have been adding to their
journals in a variety of ways and we will be adding two more additions this
week!
Math
Oh, I have been impressed with the quality of the
double bar graphs produced by the class so far. This week we will finish up this section of the first unit
with an assessment and then dive into the language of probability! Thanks for supporting your child’s
learning of multiplication facts!
We are improving!! Onwards
ho!
Science
Thermometers! This week we will use thermometers to record temperatures in
and out of the school and learn a wee bit about certain temperatures in the
world! Then it is all about what
makes the wind!
As for news about Social Studies and French head
on over to Ms. Bourassa’s blog:
September
has been a delight! This class has
a truly wonderful sense of humour and we are rarely lacking energy! They work and play hard but there are
many moments of kindness and consideration between members of this crew that
would make any parent proud. Can’t
wait to see what October brings!
